Corn bread and scones - even worse on the healthometer. I was with six other women at lunch and I ate six of these by myself.
Now meetings on a very full stomach.
Decided late last night while lying awake in my hotel room that I’d train for a half-marathon. I’ve signed up for a half once before but have gotten injured to the point of barely being able to walk, so to this day have never raced in a half.
This time I need to follow a proper training program.
Signed up for runkeeper elite. Then registered for runkeeper’s half-marathon training program.
Started off today with 5 miles. Supposed to run at a 10 min pace, so went a bit too quickly.
Love, love the prompts from the program. It feels like I’m running with a personal coach!
It’s not too hot yet in Dallas - perfect running weather.
Dropped in today to CrossFit Uptown in Dallas. Super fun class! The coach was great and led us through a group mobility and warm up. We did Elizabeth which is 21-15-9 squat cleans + ring dips. Did modified ring dips with a red band in between two rings. I finished first in 9:44, using 60#! Still 15# off from RX but it’s amazing to think that back in the day I used to do 21-15-9 using just 35#.
After the WOD we did some rope climbs and then waiter walks with kettle bells. It was an awesome class and I really liked all the exercises we did.
